Picture this. It’s pissing down rain on a wintery Sunday afternoon, you’re 15 floors up overlooking a very grey Melbourne skyline and you’re handed your favourite beer in the world by B3 Hammond legend, Mr Kim Kelaart. A Knappstein brewed in the Clare valley. Sweeeeeeet. Much happiness.
It’s been a while since Kim and I have played together, but when he said come down and take some shots of Tracy’s band at the Blue Diamond Club, I thought it’d be a great excuse to catch up. The last time we were playing together on a regular basis a few years ago he wrote his van off. So it was good of Kim to write his replacement van off yesterday in honour of us hanging out again. Thanks man. Not many people go that far these days. As for the band, I had no doubts Tracy and the guys would knock our socks off. Tracy is a true entertainer and I can highly recommend getting your butt down there whatever the weather. And with Paul van Ross on Sax and Craig Simon on drums you’ll be swinging all afternoon.
